About the Author: Carol Rix is a professional woodturner from Queensland. She works mostly in salvaged, recycled local timbers and the hard, dense, colourful Australian outback timbers. Carol supplies shops and galleries in the eastern states of Australia and specialises in production runs of fine spindle work and one-off artistic urns and sculptural pieces. Carol also teaches woodturning, demonstrates at clubs and symposiums and judges woodworking shows.
