Extract from back cover of book:

In Wildlife Intarsia, Judy Gale Roberts and Jerry Booher, two of the most respected artisans in the craft of intarsia, deliver a collection of wildlife patterns that reflect their two decade tenure of creating works of art. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist looking to improve your skills, the artistic designs of Judy Gale Roberts and the precision of Jerry Booher's scroll saw will provide all the inspiration and information you'll need to create beautiful pieces of art.

The authors help you succeed with tips on:

- Wood and Tool Selection: from red cedar to white pine, you'll learn which woods work best and how to set up your saw and choose the right blades

- Patterns: from copying and transferring the pattern to laying it out on your wood, this critical step is well-explained

-Finishing: you'll learn which sandpaper to use for each step, how to add texture, and how to apply the right finish the right way

You'll be guided through three easy-to-follow projects that will develop your intarsia skills:
- Bald Eagle
- Wild Mustang
- Bull Moose

Once you've successfully tackled these step-by-step projects, you'll be inspired to try one or all of the 11 popular patterns created by Judy Gale Roberts:
- Wild Burro
- Polar Bear
- Red Fox
- Arctic Wolf
- Bobcat
- Buffalo
- White-Tailed Deer
- Jack Rabbit
- Big Horn Ram
- Raccoon
- Wolf

About the Authors: Judy Gale Roberts began creating intarsia pieces with her father, Pat Dudley Roberts, around 1974. She and Jerry Booher started working together in 1984, when Judy began to design and create one-of-a-kind pieces on a smaller scale for private collections. Since then, the duo's work has been featured in Wood magazine and in Scroll Saw Workshop. In 1997, Judy was one of the first 10 people to be inducted into Wood magazine's Woodworking Hall of Fame for Design, Craftsmanship, and Education in intarsia.
