As reviewed in The Australian Woodworker Issue 133 Just as a woodworker can never own enough clamps, a workshop can never have enough storage. Unless you are blessed with a much larger than usual workshop and an unlimited budget, you will be all too familiar with the problem of storage. In this book, Ralph Laughton describes 16 projects that will help your workshop become more habitable and allow you to become more productive. The first is a simple Chisel Rack. The second is a Sandpaper Press (which is one of those 'why haven't I thought of that before' ideas). Then there's a Small Items Chest and a Router Cutters Storage Cabinet (that may make you immediately think of how badly your own router bits are housed). A Drill Press Cabinet puts the space beneath a small to better use... the list continues. There is a Tool Tote and Stool, a Small Offcuts Storage Trolley, a shallow Wall-Hung Cabinet, a Downdraft Table (not really a vacuum table, this is mainly for removing dust from below components being sanded), a Clamp Stand, a Mobile Benchtop Saw Stand, a Mobile Outfeed Table, a very useful Router Trolley, a Router Table, Freestanding Cabinet... You probably won't want them all but the ones you do construct are sure to make your workshop more convenient and tidy. Photos: Colour Units of Measurement: Imperial and Metric Contents Introduction
